The smile Dick gives Venom is weak and it disappears quickly in the face of Eddie's worry. He isn't sure how to explain why he did it, not in a way that his father is going to accept. He wants to be out there doing what they do, and there's something a little bit addictive about the thrill of it all.

"I'm too quick! They can't hurt me if they can't catch me!" Admittedly probably not the best tactic to take since one of the robbers had literally caught him right when Venom arrived, but he was handling that just fine! ... sort of...
