Balkin was wary of Thrawn's proposal, since speaking his mind to a Sith was one thing and accepting training from one was another thing. Thrawn assured him that it was going to be worth it, and he was going to send others to Lord Nox in due time for the same training. In the end, Balkin agreed to it.
