Thrass woke up before Lorana and ate what passed for breakfast. It wasn't bad, but he didn't see how travelers could eat them day after day. When he returned to Csilla, he was going to treat himself to a snowberry tart. As he ate, he eyed the item in their savior's hands, not recognizing it.

Lorana woke up soon after, but before she could start on her own ration bar, she froze and eyed the artifact fearfully. "What is that?" Her voice came out as a squeak.
