"You have a nice voice. I like listening to you. So I think my ears will be just fine," Altair said, his tone light and gentle. He did mean it, too- he wanted to offer what help he could and he quite liked hearing Anders's voice.

"And I'm glad he thinks I'm alright- though I'd have to disagree with him. I still have much to learn about the nature of justice and I want to be a better ally tomorrow than I am today."

Altair did his best and would continue to do so. But it was ever a work in progress both to understand and to be an ally.

"It's something to work on, after all, not something I inherently am."
