"Hey, I appreciate your work," Aden said, shrugging a shoulder. He didn't think giving a raise was really something he should be thanked for given that it was partly selfishly motivated. Well-paid employees were happy employees and happy employees were less likely to stab him in the back. Some people got too ambitious of course, but for the most part the logic behind it was sound.

"I'll let you all catch up properly before you report your findings," He said then, rising from his chair and adjusting his skirt, "I need to do some shopping anyway since there will be more than two of us on the way back."

He hadn't stocked the Phantom well enough for four people, after all.
