Michael's life hadn't been normal for years. Yet this was the weirdest thing to happen to him yet.

Being chased by a man who seemed to be made of liquid metal, and couldn't be stopped by bullets or claws. Then running into a man who helped him get away from the liquid metal man and who later claimed both of them were machines sent from the future. Well, half machine in his savior's case.

"I'm dreaming, aren't I? Tell me I'm dreaming."

Because vampires and lycans he'd come to accept. Killer robots from the future? Give him a break.

Marcus threw him a dead Resistance soldier's plasma gun. "You know how to shoot a gun, right?!"

"These are reprogrammed resistance type guns. They work great on Terminators."

"I only shot a gun once," And he definitely never saw anything like this in the Death Dealers' arsenal. "You sure this is going to work?"

Marcus said "If you want to live, Yes..."

"You hold up a gun like so. See? And then you aim and pull the trigger."

"I'm sure. If nothing else, then this will work."

"If you say so," Michael's still not sure about this, but he'll do what he can to survive.

"Now what? We just wait for that thing to come find us?"

Marcus growled "I'll hold him off, get going."

Michael didn't need to be told twice, even as he gave Marcus a sympathetic look. "Be careful."

With that, the hybrid bolted in the opposite direction.
