Lack-of-Kaliyo-making-a-ruckus jitters it was apparently not. This had passed into being flirtation now, he was sure of that much. And Vector didn't seem to be shying away, or bothered, by that fact. If the way he was looking at him was any indicator, it seemed that he found the idea intriguing.

A faint flush rose to Aden's cheeks, and he crossed his arms and averted his gaze, raising his shoulders ever so slightly. He wasn't feeling defensive so much as... Something else. Being seen blushing as though he was a child with a crush was humiliating, but he couldn't exactly help that.

Romantic or friendly, Vector meant more to him than any of his other companions, and more than any of his flings put together.

Caring that much for a person that was not himself was already terrifying enough. If they were to be more, and something happened... But still. The feelings were already there.

"I ought to say you'd better get your eyes checked but... Wouldn't want to give you the wrong idea."

The wrong idea being that he was rejecting this development. The truth was quite the opposite, after all.
