Thrawn knew he could trust Eli more than anything. Sending him onto the pirate vessel to pretend to be Horatio Figg showed that. Eli had performed beautifully, not just as Horatio, but after Thrawn's plan had truly begun. Clever Eli knew his friend so well, he knew exactly what to do when the time came, as Thrawn knew he would. How he loved that mind of his.
They're off duty now. As Admiral, Thrawn sets the schedule, and he thinks they deserve a little alone time. If anyone asked, he was just an Admiral who was making sure that his aide was alright, and was probably just staying for a game of dejarik.
Thrawn had sent Eli a single message, in Sy Bisti: "Come to my office. Bring Horatio's tunic."

Thrawn takes them both back to the bedroom and sits Eli back down on the bed. "You may rest for a moment."
He goes back to his office and calls for a cleaning droid to take care of the seed on the wall, before he gathers up the armor and other clothing, including the burnt tunic. When he returns to his bedroom, he puts the armor and civilian clothes back, and then lays the burnt tunic on the bed. He also takes his and Eli's uniforms from yesterday and lays them out on the bed as well.

While he rests, he pulls one leg up and starts to knead at the underlying muscles, hoping that some attention will get him back to, well, not needing help to move around for the next hour, tops.
He still takes note of Thawn's movements, as well as their uniforms from yesterday. He can probably just leave the burnt tunic here today and move it later tonight.
....Maybe he should make a habit of leaving at least one clean uniform here.

A particularly good rub along the underside of his knee makes him partially muffle a groan, in reflex. He hasn't exactly had the most time for some forms of self-care, but it still surprises him at how much tension is willing to loosen up under his lover's touch.

"You have very nice legs, my love."

He visibly flusters, giving a little shake of his head.
"I don't-- think they're particularly of note," he manages to reply.
Honestly, he finds Thrawn's body more attractive than his own.

Eli is intelligent and handsome, and he set his own sights much too low. It's one reason Thrawn took him off the supply officer track. Well, that and so Thrawn could keep the other man by his side always.

"I don't think I'm being modest?" He's not really sure how to verbalize his protest beyond a token effort, because he can appreciate that Thrawn sees more in him than Eli himself can.
"But I can accept that you feel that way."

The hands move up to Eli's thigh. "How do your legs feel?"
no subject
He shivers a little as Thrawn's touch moves up to his thigh, and then, at the words, tenses his legs up in an effort to simulate getting up. A few mild tremors hit his legs, but less than before. He knows he's no slouch at the gym. It just really is this that makes his legs rather wobbly.
"Seems there's some improvement."
He's more relieved that it doesn't seem like he's being a burden to Thrawn, even with their doubtlessly busy days ahead of them.
"They don't hurt or anything. And I appreciate this. You didn't have to."
To punctuate that he doesn't feel this is a bad thing, he offers Thrawn a wry smile.
"Though I'm not used to this. No one's rubbed my legs after before." Or worried if he was getting enough strength and stamina exercise.

Satisfied with his work, Thrawn gives Eli's thigh one last feather-light touch with his fingers before leaning against his headboard. "Take as much time as you need to rest."

Because knowing himself, unless he actually struggles to take steps at that point, of which he has his doubts, he's definitely not going to call in if he can help it.
For now, he moves to curl up a little more with Thrawn opting to move next to him rather than rest on him.

Eli curls closer, completely opting to borrow his lover's shoulder as a pillow. Idly, he laces their fingers together again, and gently holds on.
He doesn't exactly plan on taking a nap. This early, closing his eyes a little longer is almost as good.
"Any art you're looking forward to viewing today?" he asks, hoping to show his intent that he doesn't just plan on going back to sleep.

This is nice. Just getting a quiet moment to talk and spend time with the man he loves. Thrawn rarely lets himself have moments like this.

So why not now, too?
"I think I remember seeing a little in passing yesterday. I remember thinking that some of the usage of color was very catching."
no subject
"Indeed it was. The Selkath specialize in watercolor paintings, which is rather fitting as their world is almost entirely ocean, and their cities are artificial constructions on the ocean surface. Much of their art is inspired by what lies beneath the ocean."

Idly, he strokes his lover's hand with his thumb as he thinks further on the subject.
"You could also argue that their choice and use of architecture is art, too."

"I meant in primarily how it allows outside light to filter inward, and how some of their materials have an almost prismatic quality, especially. At least, with the glance I saw of one of the pieces, and in some holos.
"I think their work's aesthetically one of my favorites so far."
He resists the urge to comment on how it might be silly, because he immediately realizes that Thrawn would tell him it's not. And indirectly, it might also be calling Thrawn's interests silly, which is far from what he'd ever want to even remotely hint at.
Because Thrawn's passions and talents are amazing, even if Thrawn can really do some boneheaded stuff that irritates him.
But-- that's also part of his charm, Eli thinks. To some extent.

A sense of excitement wells up in him, and he makes a mental note to ask bout this in the future.
"We'll put it on the to-do list, shall we?"
no subject
"We shall put it on the to-do list, yes."

He gives his lover's hand another affectionate squeeze. Eli never thought he'd be much of an art person, but seeing Thrawn's passion for it, how could he not want to share in it and what little he manages to notice, himself?
